I’m Kristen, but you can call me Kiki. I live a great life and everyday I am learning to be more and more grateful for it. I have two beautiful kids. Finn who is 3 and Romy who is 2. We are a German/ American family. I grew up in Jacksonville Florida, and I lived here most of my life. From 2011-2015 I lived in Germany with my husband and my two kids.

I love a good challenge as well as watching the endless possibilities unfold with growth. Most of all when I have the opportunity to be creative in anything that I do and with yoga I get to learn about the big picture of my world. Coming from Jacksonville Beach, Florida I grew up playing soccer for 14 years. I suffered a knee injury in my career of Flag football and slowly kept up with all the other sports I did. Swimming, surfing and skating. I recently ran my first half marathon with MRTT in Germany.  Being adventurous and outdoors is where life has it’s greatest moments. Learning what I do on my mat, I take with me in beautiful Sunshine.

In 2008 I walked into my first class at a local studio not knowing anything. The special thing that brought me back was the uplifting energized feeling I walked away with.

Over time I fell in love with Vinyasa styled yoga, where I can dance and play and move with my breath. Getting into inversions and upside down seemed like a beautiful challenge to what I already love.

I started my 200-hour teacher training in October 2013 and ended it in February 2014. with my favorite teacher, Tiffany Cruickshank. Who is the founder of Yoga Medicine. What has attracted me to her was the beautiful flows she would teach with a huge emphasis on the body and anatomy. In May 2016 I started my journey to my 500 hours with my first of 5 modules with Yoga Medicine. So far I have completed my 60 hour hip module.

I love what yoga teaches and the therapeutic powers it possess. I want to share this with others and bring a quality yoga class to my students and clients. The body is such an amazing thing, and yoga does a great job at teaching us to listen to what our body is telling us.
